Honestly I'm not sure on how to make it more secure than it already is. Mojang fixed most of the exploits on gettin into a computer. But I do know an answer to all your problems. The blah.blah.net is called a dedicated ip. You can get this by buying an online minecraft vps or domain. What I'm getting at is that there are companies that host your minecraft server online. That means that you don't have to worry about your computer exploding, your internet frying or being hacked. A great site to go to would be McMyAdmin and go to the providers tab.
