Lord of the Flies Introduction...?

While The Lord of the Flies consists of various symbols, the most evident are those that contrast human ideals. In turn, each character reveals some sort of insight into those human ideals. The characters of Jack, Ralph, and Piggy, each represent savagery, civilization, and intellect and vulnerability, respectively demonstrating the aspects of human nature.
