Is There Away To Make My Cat Socialable?

I think my cat use to be ferrel. I've notice a pattern with ferrel cats that I tame. They are only tammed to me and they are still ferrel to every body els. My sister came over and tried to hold Panther. But he hid under the table traumatized. In case something ever happens to me, I want him to be use to other people.
