How to talk to my crush?

well i have a crush on this guy, and i've never talked to him before. we're both shy, and i don't know how to talk to him. i dont want to seem random and stalker-ish by saying hi for no reason. he's in one of my classes. I REPEAT, WE'RE BOTH SHY :(
